Writing

My scholarly and popular writings examine topics such as play and policing, coming out, pride aesthetics, queer nightlife, and race and film. I have written scholarly articles and essays for a range of publications, such as  Sexualities, South Asia: Journal of South Asian Studies, and QED: Journal of GLBTQ+ Worldmaking. My writing for popular audiences has appeared in queer zines such as Gaysi as well as major fashion magazines like Grazia India. Below, you can access most of my scholarly as well as public writing.
